Explore the depths of your energetic knots with me in person (Toronto) or in a virtual zoom session for up to 30 minutes. In the session I burp for you to release blocks and connect the audible world to the energetic one. Evoking the guttural croaking of frogs, these burps communicate age, depth and emotion. To be clear – I do the burping, you do the feeling. Challenging traditional boundaries of self, this session is tailored to your individual comfort level. An in-person session can involve light touch and movement. A zoom session involves more movement on my part as I physically embody the emotions in your body to find and access the burps.”

Erica Stocking is an artist working at the intersection of sculpture, performance and installation. Her work has been exhibited in Canada at Artspeak, AGYU, Mercer Union, The Western Front, and at The Contemporary Art Gallery. Stocking’s public artworks are part of the City of Vancouver, City of Surrey and SFU Community Trust Collections. She received her BFA from the Emily Carr Institute (2004), MFA from OCAD University (2021) and is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Visual Arts at York University.
