Mohammad Rezaei is an Iranian-Canadian interdisciplinary artist, designer, and web developer based in New York City. His artistic practice serves as an exploration of the immigrant experience, extending from his unique perspective. Rezaei has played pivotal roles in the establishment of exhibition spaces and art festivals, with extensive involvement in art spaces across Canada, all while maintaining an independent arts and curatorial practice internationally. His projects have received funding from sources such as the Canada Council for the Arts, the Trillium Foundation, and the Ontario Arts Council, among others. Rezaei’s curation and exhibition works have been showcased at art organizations including Truck Contemporary Art, Contemporary Calgary, Toronto’s Nuit Blanche, the 7a*11d Performance Art Festival, and The New Gallery. His most recent art criticism was published in UAE-based Canvas Magazine. Notably, from 2013 to 2016, he served as the Director of Programming at Whippersnapper Gallery in Toronto. In addition to his artistic endeavors, Rezaei has worked on design and development projects with a diverse range of organizations and brands.
