About the artist:

Qian Cheng is an artist and organizer interested in drawing and collaborative artistic interventions that provide generative solutions and perspectives. She is a founding member of This Useful Time Machine, a collective that uses performance and lived experience to unpack difficult scenarios within cultural institutions. Her work has been included in group and solo exhibitions at Afternoon Projects (2023); Dreams Comma Delta, Ladner (2022); and The New Gallery, Calgary (2021). Additional projects include nap gallery (2023) a Vancouver-based project space in collaboration with Afternoon Projects; and Let’s Be Mutuals (2020), resulting from a Research Fellowship at Mountain Standard Time Performative Arts.
