About the artist:

Brubey Hu is a Chinese artist, graphic designer, and educator based in Tkaranto. In her practice, she explores the mundane, architectural space, translation, memory, and colour theory through poetics and the lens of transcultural feminism. Brubey’s work has been exhibited at Art Museum U of T, University of Waterloo Art Gallery, and Cambridge Galleries, all in Ontario. Her practice is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and Ontario Arts Council. Currently, she sits on board of CAFKA (Contemporary Art in the Public Space) in Waterloo Region, and is the co-director at Tangent Collective.
