Lauren Lavery

Lauren Lavery is a gallery director, writer, artist, and editor. She has published art writing for Contemporary Art Review LA, The Capilano ReviewReIssueBlackFlashCornelia MagazinePublic ParkingPeripheral Review, and LUMA Quarterly, and in various exhibition texts.

She is the co-founder and editor of Peripheral Review, an online platform of exhibition reviews of Canadian emerging artists and spaces, and currently works as the Associate Director at Catriona Jeffries in Vancouver.

She holds a BFA with honours from Simon Fraser University’s School for the Contemporary Arts in Vancouver, BC, and lives on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ Nations.
